In 2006, the President’s first veto was looming before this country. A veto that was fed by fear and misinformation. A veto that would perpetuate the suffering of so many millions of men, women and children. A veto that pandered to the President’s base. A veto that I would not allow my family to be used as it’s excuse. I need help as one voice. Senator Obama saw that strength in my voice and in turn helped me to find the courage to stand up face to face in the White House and tell that president he was wrong. As one of those many voices whose lives have been touched, I can assure you that what you hear and see in this video is real and not wishful thinking.
