A better transparency on proposed referendum by our local boards is long overdue. There should be balanced forum requirements when they are presented to you, the voter, and the tax payer, the one who will foot the bill. Your informed vote is what’s so vitally important at the polls for the future of the 50th district.
As your state representative, I will do my best to maintain current property tax rates. If possible, I will try to bring some relief to tax payers. I believe that greater accountability by the local governments is the best way to achieve this and I would keep a watchful eye on that from Springfield. It is the larger aspect of my job. As tax payers, you have the right to know where your dollar is spent and I will achieve this with bipartisan cooperation. Your elected representatives, local, state and federal, need to work together to protect YOU.
